I have chosen a couple of websites for teachers that will help with teaching in any environment. I am not teaching professionally yet, but I hope to in the near future. These are the resources that I would use....

The Teacher Vision page offers a wide range of professional development resources for educators. We can improve our teaching skills with these articles, lesson plans, and resources from notable publishers and experts in the field. There are resources for effective teaching strategies, classroom & behavior management, building portfolios with our students, and assessment advice & forms. There is even a section for creating a professional portfolio that accurately showcases our talents as an educator. Plus, I’ll be able to find helpful tips on preparing my professional portfolio for a job interview. There’s even tips on interviewing, studying for the Praxis, organizing my applications, and acing those interview questions to help me land the teaching job I wish.

Regarding online tools there is a page by Holly Poulos named, Top 10 Educational Technology Resources, that offers interactive educational resources.

Here’s an example of one: LessonCast is a website where experienced teachers submit—via PowerPoint, document, pictures, or web cam—a "lesson idea or management strategy in 2 minutes 30 seconds or less." Each submission is reviewed and vetted by other accomplished teachers, and then shared online. New teachers, or those just looking for new ideas, can then search for the perfect idea for their classroom. Note: This site is still growing, so there are a few holes. Whether you have an idea to share or need a new one, this site helps teachers connect in much-needed mentoring relationships.

This website is terrific for teachers! It provides ideas for lesson plans, activities, discussion guides, themes for classroom teaching & preparing for parent-teacher conferences. There are actual and reproducible sheets for take-home notes. As a new teacher I will need all the help I can get, so I will be using this kind of resource for ideas and guidance.

Here is the link provided on the scholastic site for the online teaching tools....
